February 2026 Pool Blog Post

Good afternoon,

As we begin February, I would like to provide an overview of the player qualification requirements for each league within the Aactive Pool League system. The minimum qualifications are outlined below:

Winnipeg Leagues

  • Fun League: Teams must have a minimum of three players with at least 12 weeks of play. A fourth player may have fewer than 12 weeks, but not less than 8 weeks. Only one player with less than 12 weeks of play is permitted in the lineup at any given time.
  • Cash 1 to Vegas Leagues: A minimum of four players must have 12 or more weeks of play. A fifth player may have between 8 and 12 weeks of play. Only one player with fewer than 12 weeks is allowed in the lineup at a time.
  • Super Vegas & Premier League: All players must participate in at least 14 weeks of play to qualify for the playoffs.
  • Handicap Leagues: Each player is required to play a minimum of 6 weeks to be eligible for the playoffs.

Rural Leagues

  • Brandon Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Leagues: Teams require at least four players with 12 or more weeks played, with a fifth player allowed to have between 8 and 12 weeks. Only one player with fewer than 12 weeks can be included in the lineup at once.
  • Beausejour League: All players must complete at least 8 weeks of play to qualify for the playoffs.
  • Southeast League: All participants must play a minimum of 8 weeks to be eligible for the playoffs.
  • Southwest League: A minimum of 8 weeks of play is required for all players to qualify for the playoffs.
  • Portage League: Players must participate in at least 6 weeks of play to be playoff eligible.

Please note that all players wishing to participate in the end-of-season playoffs must be in good financial standing with the league. All sanction and league fees must be paid in full. With 10 or fewer weeks remaining in all leagues listed above, please ensure your players meet these requirements during this period.

I will be away from the office beginning Thursday, February 5th, and will return on Wednesday, February 18th. While I am out of the office, I will remain accessible via text and email; however, no one will be present in the office during this time.

Best of luck to all teams and players traveling to Edmonton for the 26th Annual WCVNEA Championships. I look forward to seeing you there.
