A Few Thoughts as We Approach December and the Holidays

December 1 Deadline for Sanction Fees

Sanction fees are due by Friday, December 1st. Anyone who submits their sanction fee after December 1st will be charged a $10.00 late fee. To be clear, Aactive doesn’t want to charge the late fee. The problem is the VNEA charges Aactive a late charge after that date.

Please submit your Sanction Fee payment to Lisa at lisacooper99@hotmail.com Make sure you explain in the E-Transfer, what the payment is for. There are two ways you can tell that your sanction fee is paid:

  • You have a * beside your name on the stats
  • You can view your personal stats

The cost of sanction fees is, $30 for Cash Plus Leagues and lower and $50 for Vegas Leagues and higher. Sanction fees for all rural leagues are $30. All leagues are sanctions with the VNEA. In Winnipeg, the Vegas, Super Vegas and Premier Leagues are BCA sanctioned as well.

The Handicap Playoffs will take place on the weekend of January 6th & 7th at Crazy 8’s Billiards. To qualify for the playoffs, all players MUST play 6 weeks. All matches in the two leagues MUST be completed by Friday, December 22nd.

Western Canadian VNEA Championships

The WCVNEA Championships will once again be held at the River Cree Hotel & Casino in Edmonton, Alberta on February 15th to 19th. To qualify for the event, players MUST have 8 weeks of play by Friday, January 19th. Friday, January 19th is also the Deadline to enter the event. All Aactive players must enter through me. We will open registration on December 1st. NO ENTRY ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT.

Winter League is Coming

Look for the poster for the 2024 Winter League in the middle of December. The league will start in the middle of January.

Reminder to all captains. It is your responsibility to contact your opponent if you need to reschedule a match. I did send out at the beginning of the season a contact list for each division. If you didn’t save it, please contact me and I can provide the number. Calling works best.

Three or four weeks left until Christmas break. Enjoy!
