Aactive 2026 Fall League Season Starts Soon

It’s time to chalk up, gather your team, and get ready for another exciting season of pool! The new pool league season is just around the corner, and we’re looking forward to welcoming back returning players, new teams, and everyone who loves a great night of competition, sportsmanship, and fun.

Registration deadline for the upcoming season will take place on September 3rd, 2026. Whether you’re organizing a full team, joining as an individual player, or coming back for another run at the standings, this is the date to make sure you’re signed up and ready to play.

The Aactive Pool League organizers have also been busy behind the scenes. We are in the process of recovering the pool tables at many of our locations to be ready for the league start. The venues are preparing to host a season that promises one of our best ever.

Posters for all the leagues are starting to appear in the locations. I will be sending out the 2026 Newsletters to all of the Winnipeg, Brandon and Selkirk league players by email shortly. The Beausejour, Southeast, Portage and Southwest will have all of league start up information sent out in the next two weeks. You will have all of the information required to organize your team. Now I await the team entries to be sent in.

Captain’s Meeting Details

There will also be a Captain’s Meeting on Thursday, September 3rd at Sonix Bar & Grill at 7:00 pm. Captains are encouraged to attend so they can receive important season information, ask questions, review expectations, and help ensure their teams are prepared before league play begins.

The Captain’s Meeting is an important opportunity to get everyone on the same page before the season starts. Topics may include team registration, scheduling, league procedures, score reporting, rules, and general captain responsibilities.

CSR

The 2026 Aactive Pool League season is set to introduce CSR as our main form of handicapping in all leagues. No more 0,1,2,3 handicaps. Almost all leagues will be using CSR to handicap. There will be a few division exceptions.

Teams will be given 1 point of handicap per round for every 70 point difference in total team CSR. We have used this system throughout all of our Spring and Summer Leagues and it has worked amazingly. I will explain it to everyone when I host all of the League start up meetings in September. CompuSport helps with the calculation of the handicap.

To form teams for the coming season, players will use their CSR as of June 1st, 2026. You can find the list on our website HERE

New players will be assigned a CSR until they play enough games to get an official CSR Rating. The assigned CSR will be an average of all the players entered into their division.

Get Ready for a Great Season

This season promises plenty of great matches, friendly rivalries, and memorable nights around the table. From seasoned shooters to first-time league players, everyone has a place in the league, and every match is a chance to compete, improve, and connect with fellow players.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, spread the word to your teammates, and make plans to attend the Captain’s Meeting at Sonix Bar & Grill at 7:00 pm. We can’t wait to see everyone back for another fantastic pool league season!
