New Pool Season Update
Good afternoon.
Since Labour Day the Aactive office has been an extremely busy Team Registrations are up significantly in the Winnipeg League. In total we have 359 teams registered and playing thru out Manitoba. Aactive Coin appreciates every team and player.
Aactive charges a Sanction fees (membership fee) to play in the pool league. The cost of sanction fees are, $30.00 for Cash Plus Leagues and lower and $50.00 for Vegas Leagues and higher in Winnipeg. All of the Rural Leagues have a Sanction Fee of $30.00. All leagues are sanctioned with the VNEA. In Winnipeg, the Vegas, Super Vegas and Premier Leagues are BCA sanctioned as well. Players are unable to view their individual stats until their sanction fees are paid. The deadline to pay your sanction fees is November 1st, 2025. The cost will increase by $10.00 on sanction fees if not paid by November 1st and will increase by another $10.00 if not paid by December 10th, 2025.
I would like to reiterate, I am not on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I am available on League nights until 8 pm on my cell phone. After 8 pm, you are on your own. Do your best to figure things out and we can deal with the problem the next day.
SPARES
A spare is defined as a player that isn’t a member of your roster that you need for that night to field a full team. Teams can use a spare on League night. There are a few rules involved:
- There must be a name entered on Compusport. You can’t leave the spot blank.
- You need to add the player to your team. If the player exists in the system, you can search for him and add him yourself. If you search for them and they don’t exist, you need to contact me to create the player and add them to your team.
- All spares are a 0 handicap the first time they play on your team. If they are a member of another team that plays in the same division and night and have a handicap, they are still a 0 handicap. If you use the same spare more than once, they don’t play on another team in your division, you can use their handicap.
- DO NOT ADD A SPARE TO YOUR TEAM USING “AACTIVE SPARE or “ONE TIME SPARE”. If you fail to enter a players name on Compusport, I delete any scores the spare earned and change his scores to 0.
- Please don’t call/message me after 5:00 pm to add players and expect that it will be done immediately. I am not always around my computer. Adding a player should be done during office hours. I am in the office between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm.
League matches in all leagues start at 7:00 pm. If your team has a problem getting all your players there by 7:00 pm, please contact your opponent. Contact lists for every division are being emailed out this week. If you didn’t receive it, please contact me.
My Rant of the Month
Players that are not present at a match should never have their name entered onto the scoresheet. You play short and don’t get to use their handicap.
No falsifying of player names is allowed. Example – Player A isn’t at the match. Player B is. Player B plays under Player A’s name. If I catch your team doing it the following will happen:
- First Time – Player is deleted and all scores changed to 10-0 losses
- Second Time – Team is removed from the league. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
You are my eyes and ears during a league match. If you see it happening please contact me. I will deal with it and they won’t know you did it. This is cheating. I don’t tolerate cheating.
