End of Season Wrap Up and Summer League Information
Much has happened since my last blog at the beginning of March. All leagues that started in the Fall of 2023 have now completed their regular season and year end tournaments. Congratulations to all the winners in all leagues!
The 44th VNEA Championships take place May 23rd to June 1st at the Westgate Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aactive will have 17 teams traveling to Las Vegas for the tournament. Good luck to all the players!
Aactive has Spring/Summer League running in Brandon and Selkirk area right now and starting the week of June 10th, the Winnipeg Summer League will start. Registration Deadline is Monday, June 10th. We are offering two nights of play and both are handicapped in the Regular Season & Playoffs. Please contact me to enter your team.
Information for next year for the Winnipeg & Brandon Leagues.
If your team finished in the top 10% (or 1st & 2nd ) in your league in the playoffs, your team will be ranked at the next level starting September, just in time for the 2024/25 Fall League to start. This applies to any player listed on your team’s roster that played in only one match or game during the playoffs. Your presence in the lineup helped the team win. Remember, all scoresheets are available for me to check on Compusport. Moving up to the next level means that you MUST play two years at the next higher level and place very low in the league standings and year end playoffs. Sitting out a year or two doesn’t count. You must prove that you don’t belong at the next level before I even will consider a request to move down.
Reminder to all the teams in Winnipeg.
If you haven’t picked up your team’s playoff winnings, you can do so at our office at 41 Burnett Ave. We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. It works best if you call before you decide to come by. At this time of the year, we don’t spend as much time at the office as we do during the winter months.
All of us Aactive Coin would like to thank you for playing in the league and supporting our league locations over the last 8 months. The season just flew by. I look forward to seeing all of you either in the Summer League or in September when the 2024/25 Pool League season will start. Look for the Newsletter on the coming Fall Season in late July/early August. Starting on June 2nd, we will open up registrations for next year.
Have a great summer!
