TEAM CRICKET TOURNAMENT INFO
December 8-10, 2023 at Rookies
Open to current players with MPR Cricket stats. If you do not have stats for Cricket, we will assign you one based on your PPD stats. Players highest league end or current MPR (min 16 games) will be used from Dec 2022 – Oct 2023. If less than 16 games, MPR will be averaged out.
– 4 Player Teams. Divisions will be either 6, 8 or 10 teams. A, B, C & D divisions offered (based on # of teams)
– $160 per Team ($40 per player) covers Entry fee ($100) & board/admin fee ($60) – Boards on free play
– Paid Registration in advance. Deadline is Tuesday November 28. Max 36 teams for this event
– Cap is 10.00 MPR per team. Divisions based on number of entries & team skill level. Once all teams have registered, we will sort from highest to lowest team MPR
– Payouts: based on full divisions, A & B cash payouts to 1st, 2nd & 3rd. C & D divisions to 1st & 2nd. 50-50 draws will take place & will be used for Dart Supply Gift Certificates for 4th place (A & B) and 3rd place (C & D) divisions.
– CompuSport will be used for this event.
– Tentative Schedule of Events. Captains Meeting 15 min prior to Event Start Times.
– If only enough teams for 3 divisions, all teams will play Saturday/Sunday
– Up to 8 teams from each Division advance to double elimination
– Friday December 8: C & D divisions round robin. Shoot time 7pm
– Saturday December 9: A & B divisions round robin & start of double elimination. Shoot Time 10am
– Saturday December 9: C & D division start of double elimination. Shoot time 6pm
– Sunday December 10: All divisions Finals (4-6 teams). Shoot time 12:15pm. Doors open at 11:30am
– TOURNAMENT FORMAT – Round Robin & Double Elimination: Alternate Start. Teams will diddle for Home & Away.
– Winner is Home team & starts games 1, 3 & 5. Away team starts games 2 & 4.
– Max 8 teams per division will advance to double elimination.
RULES: Cricket round limit is 20 rounds for this event (not 25 rounds like league play). If round limits are met, the team
with the most points wins. If points are tied, the team with the most marks wins. If still tied, the game will be replayed.
If registering a 5 player team, the 4 highest MPR will be used to rank your team. Players must play in at least one round
robin match to play in the double elimination.
ROUND ROBIN TIEBREAKER:
#1 – Winner of the head-to-head match in the round robin (includes teams tied to advance).
#2 – If more than 2 teams are tied & a winner cannot be determined, a 1 game playoff of No Score Cricket will be played. Tiebreaker then reverts back to option #1.
