June 2026 Pool League Blog

Good afternoon,

I spent many hours examining the previous years stats and playoffs results and have come up with the criteria to form teams for the coming 2026/27 season in the Winnipeg League.

First criteria, the top 2 teams in each division in the 2026 Playoffs MUST move up to the next level. All players that play a minimum of 1 game during the tournament will have their ranked changed to the next divisions level. These players won’t be allowed to play below their individual rank for the 2026/27 season. This effects the following teams:

  • Fun League – Shaft Strokers & X-Cues Us move to Cash 1 League.
  • Cash 1 League – SBG & Straight Shooters move to Cash 2 League.
  • Cash 2 League – Cue-Pals & Hecklers move to Cash 3 League.
  • Cash 3 League – Pho-Cue & Pregame Shooters move to Cash + League.
  • Cash + League – Big Ball Count & MMMMGD 2 move to Vegas League
  • Vegas League – The Revengers & Challengers move to Super Vegas League.
  • Super Vegas League – Captain Awful & The Sucks & Juggernauts move up to the Premier League.

I will be changing each individual players rank that played in a match on the top 2 teams in each division. These players won’t be allowed to play on a team in the division below their rank for the next 2 years.

Second criteria, there will be a team CSR cap for each division. This will be enforced in the following manner:

  • I will be freezing all players CSR as of June 1st, 2026.
  • The frozen CSR, will be the number that I use to calculate a teams Team Total CSR. This number could be different than your actual CSR in September. Sandbagging during the Summer League won’t help you.
  • When submitting a roster, I will add up the top 5 players CSR. That total must fall below the cap that I institute for each division to qualify to play in that division.
  • You will still be able to add players to your roster throughout the year, but your team MUST remain cap compliant.
  • New players to the league that don’t have a CSR will be assigned one. The assigned CSR will be the average of all of the players that are registered in that level as of September 1st, 2026.
  • Players CSR can go up or down throughout the season. As long as your team was cap compliant when the season started, the team will be qualified for that division.

The Total Team CSR Cap and Individual CSR Cap for each division are:

  • Fun League – The Total Team CSR for the top 4 players must be 6200 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1650.
  • Cash 1 League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 8000 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1700.
  • Cash 2 League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 8300 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1760.
  • Cash 3 League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 8600 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1830.
  • Cash + League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 8800 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1850.
  • Vegas League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 9000 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1870.
  • Super Vegas League – The Total Team CSR for the top 5 players must be 9250 and below. No individual player can have a CSR over 1890.
  • Premier Leage – There will be no cap on Team CSR. Play with whoever you want. Teams will give their opponents 1 point of handicap for every 70 points difference in the regular season and playoffs.

We will be going away from using the 0,1, 2 & 3 handicap system this year in the Fun, Cash 1, Cash 2, Cash 3, Cash Plus & Vegas divisions. Starting in September we will be using CSR to handicap matches. How the handicap will work is, both teams will enter all of your players on the Compu Sport app. The team with the lower total team CSR will get 1 point of handicap for every 70 points difference between the two teams per round.

These are big changes that I am implementing for the coming season. I spent a lot of time studying last years stats to come up with these numbers. They could change in the future, but these are the numbers that will be used this year. I will make available the June 1st CSR of all the players in the next few weeks.
